Proceed with planned Local Elections in May '26

Basildon Labour are trying to cancel our elections again.

They’ve already cancelled the 2026 Mayoral elections, now they want to cancel our local elections too.

We believe all elections should take place in May 2026. With your support we will be sending the following request to the leadership at Basildon Council;

"The petitioner and signatories request that Basildon Council instruct the Secretary of State that in the interest of democracy, the elections for Basildon Borough Council, scheduled for May 2026 should proceed as planned, and no delay or cancellation is required."
